World Environment Day 2018
5TH June, generally referred to as “World Environment Day” is celebrated to encourage the spirit of awareness and action for our environment. Hara Jeevan has taken various measures in well known organisations to enhance the efforts for the conservation of the Earth and its elements.
Another event was held at Sarvodaya Vidhyalaya and Sampoorna Organisation, Rohini, Delhi, where our volunteers (Abhishek and Mehak) in coordination with Dr. Aradhana Sharma (Psychologist and our mentor at the organization), raised awareness among the kids regarding waste management. The kids were briefed about the 3R’s and were also informed about their implementation in the day to day curriculum. The deduction in biodegradable wastes such as plastics is the only key for the betterment of our surroundings. This was followed by hands on activity on recycling of plastic. The children were thoroughly interested in playing a small, but principal role in the conservation of the World.
The World Environment Day clearly, has a major significance in the lives of each and every being. It must not be taken for granted, like it once was. The need for the apparent condition has peaked, and therefore, every day must be considered as Environment Day for efficiency in measures taken. .
