AWARD FROM MCD
Hara Jeevan awarded by North Delhi MCD for Waste Segregation. Hara Jeevan helped North Delhi Municipal Corporation in making the model ward No. 58 at Rohini achieve more than 90% in Waste Segregation. It was recently honored by NDMC for this cause.
WALKING WITH TREES
National Science Centre – A Nature Walk was organized along with a workshop on seeds, home composting, and terrace farming on World Environment Day (2015).Participating families learned how to recognize different trees, and were informed about the benefits of each tree present in the campus.
AWAKENING CALL
Rahagiri, Rohini – A climate change Walk along with climate Action 2015 before COP21, Paris to make people aware about ongoing climate change and its consequences. Showcased our ongoing contribution towards a better planet. People joined hands to walk for this cause to bring the required change.
JEWEL IN THE WELL
GGSS School, Pitampura – Pit Composting followed by “do it yourself“ workshop for students on waste management, segregation, utilizing biodegradable waste, composting. The pit harvest in the school was around 125 kgs. Students actively participated and showed remarkable interest in sustainable waste management.
FLUTTER OF VIBRANT WINGS
Conservation Education Centre Delhi, BNHS (Asola Bhati) – Butterfly Garden was created with BHNS in Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary. 150 sapling of nectar and host plants were planted by various age groups. The main objective was to revive the native butterfly species along with different plant species.
SUSTAINABLE PLANTATIONS
Venkateshwar International School, Dwarka – Workshop on Tree Plantation and Sustainability, which includes interactive session with students and they planted 26 saplings. They took responsibility to take care of them. In consecutive workshop students made fencing around the trees to protect them and learn how to nurture these saplings which will soon become trees.
